I keep it in the freezer at all times, because I make chocolatey desserts every once in a while.
Dark Chocolate (at least 70% dark) has many health benefits - of course - when eaten in moderation, but it does wonders for your body! Dark Chocolate contains healthy fats, fiber, minerals, and flavonoids (a type of antioxidant) that can prevent disease.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/4 cup raw organic cacao powder
- 6 tbsp raw coconut nectar or maple syrup
Mix all of the ingredients together and freeze for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Is it possible to put these in cookies, etc or would the heat be too much for them?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, because the melting point of coconut oil is 75 degrees, these delicious chocolate bars would melt away in the oven! If you wanted to make these so that you could use them in cookies, I would suggest subbing the coconut oil with cocoa butter.
